Gladiator and Contender stand inside a 20-foot-diameter circle. Each are holding one end of a 'dog-bone'. Using tactical manovers and pure strength, the Contender has to pull the Gladiator out of the circle within the time limit, or to obtain the 'dog-bone', sometimes known as "own the bone". The Gladiator's objective is to stay firmly inside the circle for the full time limit.

Contender Dogbone Loss: 0 Points
Draw: 5 Points
Gladiator Pulled Out/Dogbone Loss: 10 Points

If either competitor lets go of the 'dog-bone' results in forfeiting the event.

The Gladiator's whole body must be outside the circle to score a win.

No pushing, jerking, or body contact is allowed.
